HALIBACK

Halibacks are blood-thirsty equines who some disgruntled merchants believe only serve their masters in order to get close enough to eat them. When provided a steady diet of meat, however, halibacks have proven to be loyal and steadfast companions. Capable of outrunning almost any other mount, they are utilized the world over—from the most western reaches of Treem to the eastern edge of the Horde’s vast expanse.

Highly intelligent, their personalities vary tremendously—some being rebellious, others suited for combat, and still more just happy to tote carts from place to place for the odd scrap of food. Even gentle halibacks can always flip a switch, however. Unkind and transgressive riders will find themselves quickly stripped from their reigns and mauled to death by clawed hooves.
